Super Chix Riverland Dubai Grand Opening

We love a good chicken meal. I personally like chicken wings or chicken tenders. Three to four pieces is enough to fill me up.

Ferald and I liked one place before that serves some good chicken wings and whenever hunger strikes, we would always pass by this restaurant on our way home to order the same chicken wings meal every single time.

Unfortunately, the product was promotional and was discontinued so we were on the hunt again...

and I think, we've found it! The joint is located in a beautiful setting with a lovely sunset. I promise it is worth the trip.

Last Monday, we're back at Riverland, Dubai Parks & Resorts for the grand opening of Super Chix.

Super Chix is a Dallas-based food joint offering classed-up chicken meals, with a menu of mouth-watering selection of chicken sandwiches and tenders, hand-cut fries and fresh salads. There is also a whole range of delicious frozen custards.

Super Chix Riverland at Dubai Parks & Resorts is its first branch in the Middle East under Al Futtaim's newly launched Food and Beverage division.

Ribbon cutting ceremony

Part of the starters were buckets of chicken tenders lightly rolled in perfectly seasoned flour dipped egg and crisped. Right after the first bite, I knew it was the one I was looking for and Ferald couldn't agree more.

Tenders

Soft and juicy chicken pieces, not oily, lightly battered and fried to perfection. It was so good that we keep on reaching out for more. I needed to stop myself after my third to save space for the real food.

We paired it with their refreshing freshly hand squeezed  lemonade

refreshments - freshly squeezed lime juice

Super Chix has four signature sauces and we love Nashville hot, dill ranch and honey mustard.

After the ribbon cutting, guests were ushered back inside and the food was served.

It was nicer to sit outside at this time of year but it was windy and quite chilly that day, it also seems that a sands storm was brewing so we all huddled inside where it was warm and toasty.

We started with a huge bowl of Southwest Chicken Salad.

Southwest Chicken Salad
It is a meal on its own for one person but also good for 3 to 4 people if sharing. It is light but filling and satisfyingly good. I just wish it has more avocado strips because you know me, I love love love avocados. This salad was approved by Ferald and for someone who rarely eats everything in a salad that's a big thing.

Next, we were served with two types of chicken sandwiches.

*Deluxe (for Her - yes that's me)

It has a big piece of hand breaded chicken placed on top of fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and crinkle cut pickles in between butter toasted potato bun. We noticed that the sandwich has no mayonnaise or ketchup inside but you may choose from one of their signature sauces to pour in.

Just look at this sandwich, does it looks like real food to you? I would say a big fat yes.

Deluxe Chicken Sandwich
I honestly think that burgers everywhere should look as immaculate as this when they serve it to diners. Like it just came out from a glossy page of a food magazine.

then there's Grilled (for Him)

Ferald had this and he liked it. It has hand pounded well-seasoned chicken filet placed on top of fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and crinkle cut pickles put in a butter toasted potato bun. This one is good for all weight watchers out there.

Both sandwiches were served with hand cut fries using highest quality potatoes which are not genetically modified.

For dessert, we had frozen custard in three different flavors. There's the original vanilla in the middle flavored with the special vanilla blend. It features a combination of smooth creamy Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Beans and the sharper flavor of Indonesian Vanilla Beans. Then there's chocolate for me and peanut butter cup for me and Ferald to share.

When you visit Riverland Dubai Parks & Resorts, make sure to check them out. It is close to Bollywood, walk towards Motiongate and you'll find them on your left. They serve fresh delicious food which I find easy on the budget. So, Eat Up Buttercup!

Here are some more of the photos of the opening day.
