Medley Restaurant's Special Moroccan Iftar

Ramadan is expected to begin on the 18th of June about 20 days from now.

Our Muslim brothers are already preparing themselves spiritually, mentally and physically for this annual momentous occasion.

Physical preparation is crucial especially that this Ramadan has the longest fasting hours because it is during summer when the day is longer. They say, the first week is the hardest while the body is still adjusting to the change and eventually it get used to it.

At sundown, everyone breaks their fast, go to prayer and enjoy a good iftar meal with family and friends.

Me and my gorgeous girl friend-Jeah, were treated by Chef Mama to a special Moroccan pre-Ramadan iftar last week.

If you are looking for a place for your nightly Iftar, a wide variety of pan-arab dishes with Moroccan twist will be served at Medley Restaurant - Pullman Hotel DCC this Ramadan. They have an extensive menu of sumptuous food from appetizers to main dishes to desserts.

Discount Alert!!! Book before the 5th of June and pay only AED 115/person instead of AED 155. Children 6-12 pay AED 70 and 6 years below are complimentary

Don't forget to check out their Ouzi station. There's the very tender lamb ouzi, flaky hammour and prawn and vegetarian cous cous.

The lavish spread of cold and hot mezze and appetizers was a view to admire, so deliciously tempting

There were also jars of different types of nuts and dried fruits, pile of dates and bountiful table of fresh fruits

I had three types of cheeses, dolma (stuffed eggplant), sarma (stuffed vine leaves) and tabouleh for my starter before moving on to the main dish of lamb ouzi, rice, fish, prawn and moussaka.

Traditional sweets from this gorgeous dessert table was the way to end our dinner

coupled with some hot Moroccan mint tea

The other part of the restaurant had a lovely Ramadan setting where two ladies are doing a free henna for the guests

We stretched to give  our hands to the ladies and they started drawing artistic fluid strokes

which resulted in an artsy design

We drank our tea and chat while waiting for out henna to dry

Jeah and I indeed enjoyed our night.

Not only the food was good, the ambiance has an intimate feel which I love. The staff are friendly, polite and efficient.

They also have an outdoor dining area if you would like to dine al fresco.

Make sure to add Medley Restaurant Pullaman Deira City Center to your Ramadan dining list and you'll be sure to have a good treat.
