Life Updates!!!

Finally, I have the time to post an update, and honestly, I don't know where to begin. How about this?

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you!!!

I know, I'm too early for next year hahaha :D but better late than never sabi nga nila!

OMG, I got so busy and caught up in all the action during the holidays, I never even had the chance to post a greeting here on the blog. To make up for the lost time and to ward off all the dust and cobwebs here, I'll just give you a random update of what has transpired with our life during the holidays.

The first thing I remember now is how much fun we had during the bloggers Christmas party. 2015 was my year of friendship, these are the wonderful bloggers and their family I am privileged to be friends with online and offline. Beautiful, unique and witty people!

My kids, our kids, they're the ones who had the most wonderful time.

I took mine to a couple Christmas tree lighting ceremonies before Christmas where they met Santas of different sizes and shape and nationality :D

Pantry Cafe is a really cool place that serves good food. We've been in their Business Bay branch for menu tasting before and this time in Al Wasl Jumeirah branch for the Christmas tree lighting ceremony and carol singing.

The other tree lighting ceremony we attended was set up in the beautiful terrace of Arjaan Dubai Media City.

Guests were treated with sumptuous feast of sweets, kid treats, savoury dishes, grilled prime rib, bbq and roasted turkey that lined long tables.

The night got more festive when the carolers started singing Christmas carols.

There was a buzz when Santa arrived. Kids were greeted and given presents.

My son still trying to smile even he wasn't feeling well that night.

This was the only decent family photo we got that night (you've got to excuse Prince somber face here though)

After we've warmed up, another Christmas party was boiling, this time it's on Christmas eve itself.

Our family was invite to celebrate Christmas eve at our friends house in Dubai.

A Filipino Christmas party is never complete without food and loads of it.

It was a potluck party so we've got all sorts of yummy dishes on the table. We had chopsuey, menudo, adobo, lechon belly, tom yum Soup, steamed crab, steamed fish, fried chicken, salad, etc.

Dinner was followed by some games and gift giving

It was by far one of my favorite Christmases spent here in Dubai.

Since we've been partying all night, we've change traditions of opening the kids gift on Christmas eve and opened them on Christmas morning.

Prince got a new bike and Mica got two books she wanted for a long time

We spent our Christmas day at Dubai Miracle Garden but that's for another story.

For New Year, we decided to stay at home, away from the chaos of Dubai during NYE.

A simple celebration with the family with a very festive table of feast to share.

The star of the night was my roast prime rib. It's my first time roasting this big chunk of meat and boy I'm so proud of it.

Two hours to midnight, my daughter came rushing to me, showing me that the iconic The Address Hotel Downtown was on fire.

It was a shocking moment but Dubai was on top of the situation and the fireworks went as planned. Nonetheless, NYE was celebrated in Dubai with happy faces.

That's how I've spent the holidays, I hope yours were spectacular!

We are already halfway through January 2016, gosh time flies. What are you up to? Me, I'm busy with work but the busiest part is done and I can breathe now at least. My NY resolution would be to become fit and healthy, I guess that's all for now. I'll be working on a long term project for the family and hope that it'll happen before I turn 35 this year.

Whether you are working on your new year's resolution, chasing your dreams, travelling or starting a new hobby, may it all be successful and fruitful. I wish you all the good tiding for 2016.

That's all for now, see you!
xoxo
