Celebrating 18 Years of Love at Al Dawaar Revolving Restaurant Dubai

Celebrating at Al Dawaar Revolving Restaurant l Hyatt Regency Deira Dubai It's been eighteen long years but it still feels like yesterday since we got married. That's long if you would think about it and yes our wish is to forever. Cheese! Haha!  Having been able to raise our own family here in the UAE (with its ups and downs) and having survived covid last year, was for me, something worth celebrating.  What better way to celebrate our special day but with a special dinner date together with our kids at Al Dawaar, the only revolving restaurant in Dubai perched on the rooftop of Hyatt Regency Hotel in Dubai.  This restaurant has always been on my radar and I'm glad we get to experience dining here with the whole family including little Bella on my tummy, made possible by my Rewards Entertainer. This elegant colonial-inspired restaurant offers stunning 360-degree panoramic views of Dubai day and night while you indulge in delicious and well-curated International and Asian di

Easy to Create Breakfast Board at Home

Breakfast in bed...does sound fancy! Right! But it is simply breakfast served to one in bed upon waking up and anyone can do it. You can also do it. Kahit tuyo, sinangag at itlog pa yan. Creating a breakfast board at home doesn't need to be intimidating. I did it because I was feeling fancy that day and I want to treat my family to a nice fancy breakfast without needing to go out. Whatever you have for breakfast like eggs, bread, jam, and coffee can be simply arranged and presented nicely on a clean wooden board, and call it a breakfast board, breakfast in bed.  You would say why all the trouble? Because we deserve it.  After a long busy week at school and at work, my family deserves a nice meal on a Friday morning. These little moments with family seem to count more and are cherished by my kids. I wish that they would remember it when they're all grown up and hoping would do the same for their own family. Gets?! Ok now for the breakfast board. Everything major in this breakfas

Al Zebidi Fish Cooking l Khorfakkan Fish Market Sharjah

After a long day of sightseeing in Khorfakkan, we ended our day with a nice and delicious dinner at a seafood restaurant located in Khorfakkan Fish Market.  Similar to "paluto" in the Philippines, Al Zebidi Fish Cooking accepts fresh fish and seafood you buy from the fish market to cook for you for a charge when you dine with them. That was our plan. Unfortunately, I wasn't mentally prepared for what type of fish and seafood to buy at the fish market and what dish I want them to cook for us. So we decided and as per one of the staff's recommendations, to order from their menu which was great as it did not disappoint. This was his recommendation A humongous and amazing platter of freshly grilled salmon and butterflied sea bream marinated in spices with some fried prawns on a bed of turmeric rice served with fresh garden salad, onions, lemons, and dates. The fish was fresh, moist, flaky, and, flavorful. It's a big platter good for 6 people. We were just four so we t

Khorfakkan, UAE's Hidden Gem

Khorfakkan has grown popular in the last couple of years. Thanks to the Sharjah government's initiative to revive and redevelop this unique part of the city, we have new places to explore. Khorfakkan  means “Creek of Two Jaws”, and is an enclave of Sharjah, tucked into the emirate of Fujairah. It centers on Khorfakkan Bay, home to the curved Khorfakkan Beach and a deep-sea port. If you want to get the most out of Khorfakkan, I suggest dedicating a full day or two to it. Your Khorfakkan itinerary sightseeing must include Shees Park, Wadi Sheesh, Rafisa Dam, Al Miqsar Village, Al Rabi Tower (Al Rabi Hiking is optional, or do it the next/another day), Khorfakkan Park & Open Beach, Boat Trip to Shark Island, Khorfakkan Waterfall, Khorfakkan Amphitheater and Khorfakkan Fish Market. There is so much to see and do in this not-so-sleepy town. You wouldn't regret seeing Khorfakkan. The best time to go is from November to March when the weather is good. Places to visit in Khorfakkan
