Friday Brunch at Waves, Fujairah Rotana Resort and Spa

We were back at the beautiful Emirate of Fujairah at the beginning of April for an Easter Brunch invitation by  Fujairah Rotana Resort and Spa,  together with some of our blogger friends from Dubai. The Friday brunch was at  Waves Restaurant,  ideally located in between the hotel's swimming pool, spacious garden, and white sandy beach. It's a perfect setting, and the weather was fantastic.

11 Places Worth Visiting in Fujairah

Our recent trip to Fujairah, the fifth largest Emirate of UAE saw us visiting historical sites and heritage areas. Watched some bull fighting in Gurfah area, checked out a new mall and paid homage to the city's Catholic church. If you haven't seen rock mountains before, you will be in awe to see them on your way to the city . Our first stop was the Fujairah City Center (1) . It is located just before entering the city proper. Just like other City Centers, it is a one stop shop for everything, thus giving locals and expats alike a new shopping experience. We got hungry on the way so we stop there for a quick lunch before setting off on our city adventure.

Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort Fujairah Review

To celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary, we chose Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort in Fujairah for a weekend getaway. I did my research and as suggested by trip advisor, it is the number one hotel in the area. The summer rates given to us when I booked was $217 all inclusive of taxes, breakfast and dinner at Views Restaurant. The room was spacious and has a balcony, all 218 rooms are sea view facing the Indian Ocean and with a backdrop of the beautiful Hajar Mountains. Before we check-in at 3:00 pm, Ferald and I went first on a road trip to see some historical sites and attractions in Fujairah. We visited the famous Wadi Wurrayah - a protected area deep inside the Hajjar Mountains which is believed to be the home to the last Arabian leopard. We also visited the oldest mosque of UAE - the Al Badiyah Mosque . We check-in at half past four, we were given some refreshing welcome drinks and some wet towels to freshen up. Check in was quick and easy and the bellboys helped us

A Trip to Wadi Wurayah

It was a sunny Friday morning of September 24 when my husband and I headed east towards Fujairah. This mountain (or part of it) is famously known as the Hajar Mountain. Even if you see it as all rocks, the mountain is rich in flora and fauna. On the other side of the mountain are beautiful pristine beaches with crystal clear waters belonging to the Gulf of Oman. Fujairah is about 150 km away from Dubai and it is about 2.5 hours drive, so whenever you are planning a trip to this Emirate, pack a good amount of food and bottles of water and make sure the gas tank is full. Well actually, it won't even be a problem because there are a lot of gas stations along the way where you can stop to buy all you needed but it is worth being prepared for a long trip like this so you won't waste your time queuing at the counter. This road trip is a little unique and special this time as me and my hubby are celebrating our 7th year wedding anniversary and we decided to experience
